Psychometric properties of the psychological help-seeking stigma scale toward occupational stress and burnout: for mental health professionals

Introduction: The stigma associated with occupational stress and burnout in mental health professionals (MHPs) is one of the major barriers to seeking psychological help this population. Aim: This study aimed investigate psychometric properties scale toward MHPs. Method: research was conducted on a population counselors psychologists Tehran, Iran, 2021. A total 316 MHPs, who were selected via convenience sampling, completed MHPSS by Clough & et al. (2020), as well Goldberg’s General Health Questionnaire (1972) through Whatsapp application. Cronbach's alpha coefficient measured examine internal consistency scale. validity also evaluated calculating convergent performing confirmatory factor analysis AMOS version 24 software. Results: results revealed four factors “structural stigma”, “self-stigma”, “perceived other “personal stigma”. GHQ favorable. Regarding reliability scale, be 0.88 for entire 0.73 structural stigma, 0.76 self-stigma, 0.81 perceived 0.85 personal stigma. Conclusion: In study, confirmed. Overall, tool can used conduct further detailed MHP due implicit assessment help-seeking addition its specific design
